Leon Rainbow Graffiti Summer School by Jersey Fresh Jam

The Jersey Fresh Jam is New Jersey’s premiere Hip Hop festival. Since 2005, the event has grown from a small, humble event into one the most respected celebrations of Hip Hop culture on the east coast. At the twilight of every summer, aerosol artists from far and wide converge to adorn the walls of Terracycle INC with their signature masterpieces, while local and regionally known emcees, bands, and DJs provide the soundtrack for the days festivities. This event is free and open to the public. Come and share the excitement!

CCFA at the Gregory School "Read To Achieve!" Book Festival

On Friday June 2, 2017 Wanda Webster Stansbury, Founder and Executive Director of CCFA-Center For Child and Family Achievement invited me to the Gregory School for a Book Festival.

Wanda has been a guest on the Trenton 365 Show in the past sharing about her non-profit organization, have a listen to our chat.

In addition CCFA and the Gregory School has adopted one of the Library Boxes of Trenton #lbot designed by Artist Lori Johannson.

On this visit like others in the past I delivered Highlights Magazines donated by Magazine Literacy.Org.  This international organization based out of Trenton NJ distributes various reading materials including magazines and periodicals.  Founder and Executive Director John Mennell has been a wonderful partner in my efforts to address literacy in New Jersey's Capital City.

Photographer Habiyb Shu'Aib

I met Habiyb Shu'Aib a few years ago.  Like so many people in the "Art Scene" in Trenton NJ we all know of each other.

Utilizing social media I shared an opportunity for a local Photographer to join me in the WIMG1300 Studios to capture some images of the live radio and taped TV interviews of the Trenton 365 Show.

Habiyb reached out and joined me on multiple occasions visually capturing exclusive interviews with Model/Actress/Entrepreneur Nacone Martin the Center For Interim Programs and others.

Our friendship has grown and the magic has happened; we know mutual people, we have mutual interests, we admire each others efforts, we seek each others assistance, we introduce each other to other people....we build community through civic engagement.

A few of those connections include local "watering hole" Champs, other Photographers Kevin Duddy, Chris Marinari and the Trenton Photography Club.

Recently we connected around a project he is working on for AAN-Art All Night the 24 hour art exhibit in Trenton NJ put on by Trenton NJ's Visual Arts Organization Artworks.

I suggest you reach out to Habiyb, ask him about his efforts, and check out his website www.bloved1.com

In addition you can see his first solo show happening at Mercer County Community College - JKC Gallery on the Trenton Campus beginning June 19, 2017.

Have a listen to a recent chat and see some images I captured during that visit.
